Learn How to Make Professional-Quality Candles at Home

Candle University is a private learning experience for people who want to go deeper than our social classes. While our signature candle-making classes focus on connection, scent design, and creativity, Candle University is for those who leave saying, “Wait, but how can I do this on my own?”

Whether you are new to pouring or a seasoned maker, these one-on-one sessions offer hands-on guidance grounded in real studio practice. You will learn what goes into making a high-quality candle, from why that Amazon kit didn't quite deliver the results you expected to how small material and process choices shape performance. Each session is customized to your experience level and designed to help you build skills, solve challenges, and create candles that look, smell, and burn beautifully.

OPTION 1

OPTION 1

Candle

Making

Foundations

For beginners who know a good candle when they smell one and want to learn how to make it.

If you’ve tried making candles at home and thought, huh, that’s not what I pictured, you’re not the problem. That Amazon kit probably only set you up with half of what you need to succeed. Not all wax, wicks, and scents are created equal, and a few technical details make the difference between a candle you made and one you’d actually claim. This one-on-one session bridges that gap. We’ll look at what’s really happening when you pour, talk through why those results show up, and show you how to tweak things to achieve a smooth burn, rich scent, and polished finish. You’ll learn how to pick materials that perform, fine-tune your ratios and pour temperature, and make candles that look and feel right at home next to your Le Labo and Diptyque ones. You’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to make candles at home that finally match your taste and your standards. Includes: 1. All supplies and materials needed for in-studio pours. 2. Personalized supply list for home setup with trusted vendors 3. Starter formulas and temperature guide 4. Guidance for recreating the process at home Price: $235 · Duration: 90 minutes · In-Studio Recommended ·

OPTION 2

Advanced
Maker
Consultation

For experienced makers ready to troubleshoot, refine their process, or explore new materials.

You already know your craft. Now you’re chasing consistency, clarity, or something new. Maybe you’re fine-tuning a formula that isn’t performing the way you’d like, or experimenting with wax blends, wicks, or fragrance ratios. This session is a focused, one-on-one space to problem-solve and explore alongside someone who has spent years testing and refining the details that shape how candles burn, smell, and last. Together, we’ll review your formulas, materials, and testing setup to pinpoint what’s driving your results and where small shifts can make a big impact. You’ll leave with sharper insight into your process, a tailored testing plan, and a faster path to the results you’ve been aiming for. Includes: 1.Personalized refinement and testing plan 2. Advanced material and performance guide 3. Optional follow-up consultation summary · Price: $175 per hour · Available: Virtual or In-Studio ·
